When direct flights to Lithuania open

Aviation authorities of Lithuania and Kazakhstan are preparing to open direct flights, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"A consultation meeting between the Lithuanian civil aviation leadership and the Civil Aviation Committee of the RK MIID on the opening of regular air routes Nur-Sultan - Vilnius and Almaty - Vilnius, as well as the appointment of the Hungarian airline "Wizz Air" as the operator of these routes ended yesterday in the capital of Kazakhstan. The planned date of launching the flights is the 1st quarter of 2022", - the message says.
Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the RK MIID Saltanat Tompieva and the head of the Road and Aviation Transport Policy Group of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania Vladislav Kondratovich discussed cooperation in the field of air transportation and exchanged a signed Protocol of Intentions to open regular flights.
"The final decision on this issue will be made after receiving permission for flights by interdepartmental commissions to prevent the emergence and spread of coronavirus infection in the two countries," the department added.
