Vietnam opens borders for tourists
Vietnam resumes international flights to attract tourists. So far, local authorities are opening only a few resorts, including Phu Quoc Island, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to Euronews.
Travelers will need a certificate of full vaccination against coronavirus or a negative PCR test done no earlier than three days before visiting the country, as well as medical insurance. Tourists do not need to go through mandatory quarantine.
“We hope that the opening of international flights to Phu Quoc Island will have a positive impact on the recovery of the tourism and aviation sectors,” said Dinh Viet Phuong, Deputy Director of VietJet Air.
So far, the country is open only to travelers who have bought tours. However, by June 2022, Vietnam intends to open the entry for all categories of vaccinated foreigners.
Note that Vietnam unilaterally recognized vaccination passports of foreign countries and simplified entry for arrivals. To visit this country, citizens of Kazakhstan just need to provide a document confirming vaccination against COVID-19 at border checkpoints.
