Revaccination against COVID-19 started in Moscow
Re-vaccination against coronavirus has started in Moscow. Re-vaccination against COVID-19 is possible in all vaccination centers of the city, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to Ria.ru.
Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, noted that the authorities continue to expand opportunities for immunizing the population.
"From today, July 22, it will be possible to get a second vaccination with Sputnik Light or Sputnik V in all existing urban vaccination centers: in 119 polyclinics, 45 pavilions "Healthy Moscow", centers of public services "My Documents" and other popular public places," - said the vice mayor.
Rakova recalled that re-immunization is recommended 6 months after injection with the first component, and once the epidemiological situation improves, once a year.
Another vaccination, she said, will help to form additional protection of the body against infection with new, even more aggressive strains.
Immunization against coronavirus is carried out in all regions of Russia. Three drugs are available in the country: Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and CoviVac. Revaccination is made with Sputnik Light.
Allergist immunologist Andrey Prodeus said that it is not necessary to specially prepare for the COVID-19 second shot. However, in his opinion, it is better to undergo medical examination. People with chronic diseases, as noted by the specialist, need to consult their doctor.
