Japanese government resigns en masse, new Prime Minister elected
The government of Japan has resigned en masse, each of the ministers handed in his resignation request to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Ria.ru reports with reference to Kyodonews.jp.
Earlier, the head of the Japanese government announced his intention to step down for health reason. He remained in office until the election of the new head of the cabinet.
According to the TASS news agency, the Japanese parliament by a majority vote supported the candidacy of Yoshihide Suga as the new prime minister.
In the next few hours, Suga is to announce the members of his cabinet.
