Eighteen elephants killed by lightning in India
At least 18 elephants were killed by a lightning strike in the Indian state Assam, 24.kz reports.
The bodies of animals were found in the forest by local residents.
Indian authorities have expressed concern about such a massive mortality.
All the circumstances of the incident will be clarified by a special investigation.

More than half of all Asian elephants live in the country. Their population has declined significantly over the past few years, which is largely blamed on the destruction of their natural habitat and poaching.
