Coronavirus mortality rate is record high in India

In India, mortality rate from coronavirus per day has been updated, Ria.ru reports with reference to the country's Health Ministry.
Since yesterday, doctors have identified 338,439 cases of COVID-19, during the same time, 3,780 people died. The previous anti-record was set on May 2, when 3,689 patients with coronavirus died.
India has the second highest number of detected COVID-19 cases in the world after the United States. According to the latest data, more than 20.6 million cases have been registered in the country. Over 16.9 million people have recovered, and 226,000 died from SARS-CoV-2 or related diseases.
Earlier, the director of the National Center for Disease Control said that the British, South African and Brazilian strains of the coronavirus, as well as its variant with a double mutation, are responsible for the rise in the incidence in India.
