Security certificate revealed over 8mn facts of virus activity in Kazakhstan

The security certificate that is being introduced in Kazakhstan revealed more than 8 million facts of virus activity in July 2019. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Askar Zhumagaliyev at a briefing at the Central Communications Service, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
"Over the last month alone, this security certificate revealed more than 8 million facts of virus activity and helped protect against 130 cyber attacks on government agencies, civil servants. We certainly will continue to work with security certificates to citizens on a voluntarily basis, "- said the speaker.
According to him, civil servants have been using this security certificate for a year and a half.
Earlier residents of Kazakhstan were asked to install the security certificate of the Qaznet Trust Network for Internet access. As stated in the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, the technical works aim to enhance the protection of citizens, government agencies and private companies from hacker attacks, Internet fraudsters and other types of cyber threats.
