RK President held a meeting of Council for AIFC management

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, held a meeting of the Council for management of the "Astana" International Financial Center, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the Head of State.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Council - Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov, Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov, Chairman of the National Bank Yerbolat Dosayev, AIFC Manager Kairat Kelimbetov, and members of the Council: President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JP Morgan Chase International Jacob Frenkel, President and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia German Gref, President of the Group of Islamic Development Bank Bandar Hajjar, co-founder and head of the group of companies "Yandex" Arkady Volozh, head of global unit of governments and public sector investment and corporate bank Citigroup Julie Monaco.
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev welcomed the new members of the Council and noted that, thanks to the efforts and support of foreign partners, the ground was laid for the future work of the AIFC.
"For successful work of the AIFC, all conditions and infrastructure have been created. Now we need practical results," said the Head of State.
Kassym-Zhomart stressed that the city of Nur-Sultan is becoming a financial center, recognizable throughout the world.
During the meeting, the official presentation of the AIFC annual report was held.
