An online map for monitoring the state of the environment has been developed in Almaty, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the city akimat.
The project is a dynamic platform that brings together all available data on the state of the ecology of Almaty. Every 20 minutes online monitoring stations transmit information about the air condition to the system. The readings are displayed in the form of graphs and numeric data. The dynamics of MPC indicators is displayed.
The stations measure the volume of pollutants in the atmosphere, as well as parameters of humidity, temperature, pressure, wind direction and speed. The average values for the period and the average daily MPC are displayed.
In addition, due to the accumulation of indicators, a database will be formed, which will allow, based on their analysis, to predict changes in air quality and other parameters.
"There are 10 air quality monitoring stations installed in the city. 10 more sensors will be installed with information output on LED screens and transfer of indicators to the database of the online monitoring portal," the akimat said.
