Kazakhstan space rockets tests may be started in 2022

At the plenary session Majilis adopted the draft ratification of the Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia on creation of Baiterek space rocket complex at the Baikonur Cosmodrome of December 22, 2004, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
The Protocol was signed in Moscow on August 22, 2018 and stipulates the basic conditions for implementation of the project on the use of Baiterek space rocket complex.
“Under the Protocol, the Russian side provides financing for creation of the launch vehicle. Kazakhstan side provides financing for modernization of the existing ground-based space infrastructure of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The Protocol provides for withdrawal of Zenit-M objects from lease and their transfer to Kazakhstan side, transfer to launch vehicles middle class and the beginning of flight tests in 2022, " Majilis deputy Gleb Shchegelsky elaborated.
