"We are working on the development of a laboratory base and a conformity assessment system. A laboratory for testing high-voltage equipment is being created on the basis of the Kentau Transformer Plant. Laboratory test results and a certificate of conformity will be recognized in all EAEU countries," Sultanov said.
The minister also spoke about other measures to combat the sale of low-quality imported goods on Kazakhstan market. Pilot projects have been launched on labeling of tobacco and alcohol products, shoes and medicines.
"From introduction of the labeling mechanism, one should expect a positive multiplier effect on the economy of Kazakhstan," Sultanov concluded.
