The digital document service has been launched in pilot mode at the airports of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
July 28, 2021, the project was launched at Aktobe airport too. Passengers departing on regular flights between the above three cities can present an electronic ID through the Egov mobile application to confirm their personal data. Thus, passengers will be able to travel with a digital ID.
Passengers using the digital document service, when checking in for a flight at the airport check-in counter, as well as going through pre-flight security, must show the QR code generated by the Egov mobile app.
As the digital document service at the airports is currently in a pilot mode, passengers who plan to use this service are advised to have their original ID with them.
