Zhanibek Alimkhanuly defeated a Mexican in a battle for WBC and WBO titles

Kazakhstani middleweight boxer Zhanibek Alimkhanuly defeated Mexican Christian Olivas in a fight for two titles, Vesti.kz reports.
The fight took place on the undercard of the boxing evening at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, America, in the main event of which WBA (Super) and WBO lightweight world champion Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (12-1, 9 KO) met with Briton Anthony Krolla (34-6-3, 13 KOs).
The battle of Alimkhanuly - Olivas lasted all 10 rounds, following the results of which the Kazakhstani won by unanimous decision of the judges. This victory helped him win the vacant WBC Continental Americas regional title and the WBO Global secondary belt, which was played for the first time.
Now, 26-year-old Alimkhanuly has six wins (two by KO) in six fights. In the US, he debuted in April 2018 and held four fights in this country.
