Serik Sapiev named a new place of work
Serik Sapiev in a YouTube interview with Dinara Satzhan said that he will work in the National Olympic Committee, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to Vesti.kz.
"I will work for the National Olympic Committee," said the 2012 London Olympic champion.
Dinara Satzhan also asked Sapiev if he would like to work for the International Olympic Committee.
“I didn’t think about it. But in general, we can say that work in an international organization increases the status of the country, the status of a person who works in an international organization. It’s worth thinking about why not,” he replied.
Recall that Sapiev became the 2012 Olympic boxing champion in London. He is also a two-time world champion (2005, 2007) and a two-time Asian champion (2007, 2009), an honored master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the winner of the 2012 Val Barker Cup.
Sapiev headed the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture since January 30, 2019, and on October 19, 2021, it became known that he resigned as chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
