Rypakova won license for 2020 Olympics
Kazakhstan track and field athlete Olga Rypakova won a license for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, Qazathletics.kz reports.
The champion succeeded in it at Kazakhstan Cup qualifier, which was held in Almaty this weekend.
Rypakova won the first place in the triple jump with 14.37 meters result and was selected for the fourth Olympiad, as the standard in this exercise is 14.20 meters.
The second place in the triple jump was taken by Maria Ovchinikova, who in her best attempt made 13.79 meters. And the third was Laura Akhmetova with the result of 12.92 meters.
It is worth noting that the 34-year-old Rypakova holds three Olympic medals- in 2012 gold in London, in 2008 silver in Beijing, and in 2016 bronze in Rio.
