Prize for best coach of season established in Kazakhstan football

The famous coach Leonid Ostroushko would have turned 85 years old on August 10. Starting from the current season, the Professional Football League of Kazakhstan has established a prize named after Leonid Ostroushko. This award will be presented annually to the best coach of the country at the end of the season, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the PFLK press service.
As noted, Ostroushko made a significant contribution to Kazakhstani football. As a coach, Leonid Konstantinovich worked in many Kazakhstani teams - "Kairat", "Cementnik", "Alatau", "Tselinnik" and "Shakhter".
Leonid Ostroushko is a master of sports of the USSR and an honored coach of the Kazakh SSR. Under his leadership, "Cementnik" took 1st and 2nd places in class "B" in the Kazakh zone of the USSR championship, together with "Kairat" he won the 1st league of the USSR championship, and also took 7th place in the Higher League, which is the best result for the Kazakh teams. Ostroushko has achieved great results outside of Kazakhstan. So, he won gold medals of the championship of Uzbekistan with "Dustlik", and also became the best with Minsk "Dynamo" in the championship of Belarus.
