Kazakhstani boxer became the champion of Asia in Bangkok

The Asian boxing championship among men and women ended in Thailand, where the athlete of the Central Army Sports Club - master of sport of international class B. Nurmagambet became the champion in the weight category up to 81 kg, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan.
In the final battle, the athlete met with John Nobel Marvin from the Philippines. The judges made a unanimous decision.
“I am proud to defend the honor of the Armed Forces; we have all the conditions for playing sports and achieving results. This Asian Championship was a debut for me, now my main goal is to become a world boxing champion. In order to win the World Championships, I will try to take part in all major competitions,” said the athlete.
The participants of the tournament this year were the representatives from 39 countries. In addition to B. Nurmagambet, the Armed Forces in the competition were represented by the winners and prize-winners of the World and Asian Championships, A. Muzaparov (52 kg), junior sergeant K. Yeraliyev (56 kg), A. Shymbergenov (69 kg) and R. Volosenko (60 kg).
