Kazakhstan rower Dias Bakhraddin became the winner of the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Vesti.kz reports.
In the final competition in a canoe single, Bakhraddin defeated Islomzhon Abdusalamov from Uzbekistan - 1: 54.660 against 1: 55.170.
Another medal was won by 15-year-old Stella Sukhanova, who won a bronze medal in kayak competition.
Thus, the national team of Kazakhstan now has four medals of the Youth Olympics. Earlier in judo, Bekarys Saduakas won a gold medal, and Margarita Gritsenko won a silver medal.
The national team of Kazakhstan in the Youth Olympics is represented by 58 athletes in 23 types of sports. The Games will last until October 18. Four thousand athletes from 206 countries participate in the competition.
