Kazakhstan won first medal at Youth Olympics-2018

Kazakhstan's judo wrestler Margarita Gritsenko won the silver medal at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Argentina's Buenos Aires, Vesti.kz reports.
In the finals in 78 kg weight, 16-year-old Gritsenko lost to the 17-year-old German judoka Raffaela IGL.
On the way to the final, Gritsenko defeated Edith Ortiz from Ecuador in 34 seconds, and in the semifinals she was stronger than Ester Svobodova from Czech.
Gritsenko’s medal was first for Kazakhstan in the youth Olympics.
The national team of Kazakhstan in the YOG is represented by 58 athletes in 23 sports. The games will last until October 18. Four thousand athletes from 206 countries participate in them.
