Nur-Sultan is hosting competitions among prize-winners of amateur football leagues for the Super Cup of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Inform.kz reports.
"For the first time in our independent state, the Super Cup among amateur football teams is played. In total, we have 5 leagues, two top teams were selected from each league, and today 10 teams are participating in the competition. Our main goal is development of grassroots sports. We plan to hold such competitions annually, "said the RK President’s press secretary, Berik Uali, opening the tournament.
According to him, the winning team of the President's Super Cup will be awarded a cash prize of 1 million tenge.
The competitions are held without spectators in compliance with all sanitary standards.
