Kazakhstan boxer goes up in world ranking after defeating Fury
Kazakhstan boxer Iskander Kharsan (7−0, 6 KOs) rose in the world ranking of the second lightest weight in the BoxRec statistics portal, Vesti.kz reports.
On September 14, on the undercard of the show at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, Kharsan KOed the American Isidro Ochoa (7−1, 3 KOs). In the main event of the evening, the ex-world heavyweight champion Briton Tyson Fury (29−0−1, 20 KOs) on unanimous decision of the judges defeated the Swede Otto Vallin (20−1, 13 KOs).
After the seventh victory, the 22-year-old Kharsan went up to 64th place in the ranking, rising from 241st to 177th position. His peer Ochoa after the first defeat in his career went 38 lines down - from 282nd to 320th.
