Kazakhstan athletes renewed record, held for 37 years

On the night of July 14, the final race in men's relay 4 x400 m took place in Naples within the Universiade-2019. Kazakhstan team managed to set a record for the country, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the NOC of RK.
In this program, the team was represented by Mikhail Litvin, Andrey Sokolov, David Efremov and Vyacheslav Zems. The athletes finished with a score of 3: 07.66, which was a record. The previous highest achievement was established in 1982. Alexander Kurochkin, V. Pfeifer, Victor Yantsen, Ilya Slavinsky overcame the distance in 3: 09.51.
We add that at the Universiade-2019, Kazakhstan quartet took the eighth place. The first were athletes from Mexico, the second - South Africa, and Poland closed the top three.
Kazakhstan completed the Universiade-2019 with seven medals.
