Charity winter triathlon competition to be held in Nur-Sultan

On February 21, the capital's Triathlon Park will host individual winter triathlon competitions timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence, refers to the press service of the city akimat reporting.

As noted, all registration fees collected at the competition will be sent to the "World of Equal Opportunities" charity fund in support of the "Salamatty Bolashak" social project - "Sport for everyone! Sport without borders!" The project helps children with special educational needs to integrate into society through adaptive physical education and sports.

The organizers of the annual winter triathlon competition are the State Institution "Physical Culture and Sports Department of the city of Nur-Sultan" and the Nur-Sultan Triathlon Federation.

Competitions are held among the participants at a distance of the shortened super-sprint: running - 2 km; bike stage - 3 km; ski stage - 2.5 km (all stages are in one circle).

The championship will be held with a separate start for each participant, the time interval is not less than 20 seconds. Anyone who does not have health contraindications in the age category of 18 and older can take part in it.

Each participant of the competition who has completed the distance no later than the established time limit is awarded a commemorative medal and diplomas from the organizers at the finish.

Athletes who took 1-3 places in their age categories will be awarded on February 23-25 at the office of the Nur-Sultan Triathlon Federation.

To date, 173 people have already registered to participate in the competition.

The championship will take place on February 21 at Triathlon Park, starting at 8:45.

The competition will be held in compliance with all sanitary standards, the akimat added.
