Strict quarantine may be re-introduced in Nur-Sultan
Nur-Sultan may re-introduce strict quarantine measures (with the suspension of some activities), if the elementary requirements of doctors in the fight against COVID-19 are further ignored. This was reported by the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Nur-Sultan Zhanna Pralieva during an online briefing at the akimat, Kazpravda.kz reports.
According to Zhanna Pralieva, doctors and city authorities have repeatedly called on the population to fulfill the elementary requirements for wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and limiting visits to possible crowded places.
"As we can see, these requirements are ignored and not respected. If the population continues to violate these requirements and recommendations, as well as does not provide full information about close contact persons, this may lead to a repeated increase in the incidence of CVI among contact persons and morbidity, and we will be forced to re-introduce strict restrictive and quarantine measures, including the suspension of certain types of activities," she concluded.
