Omarov told about situation with anthrax and rabies among animals in Kazakhstan
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saparkhan Omarov during the Government meeting spoke about the situation with anthrax and rabies among animals in Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
"Compared to the same period last year, there is an increase in outbreaks of especially dangerous animal diseases in the country due to rabies. Bird flu has also been registered, for which the republic has been safe since 2005," Omarov said.
At the same time, in comparison with 2019, there is a decrease in unfavorable foci for brucellosis by 16 points (from 168 to 152). In 93 unfavorable areas, restrictions have been lifted, and in 59 areas the veterinary and health-improving activities are continuing.
"This year, compared to the same period last year, there has been a decrease in outbreaks for a number of especially dangerous animal diseases. The epizootic situation with anthrax and Newcastle disease remains safe," the minister summed up.
