Nur-Sultan pharmacies fined for almost KZT 14 mln for inflating prices for medicines

In Nur-Sultan, a number of pharmacies have been fined almost 14 million tenge for inflating prices and selling unregistered drugs. This was reported by the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the capital Zhanna Pralieva during an online briefing at the akimat, correspondent reports.

"During the reporting period, based on the results of monitoring the activities of pharmaceutical companies, 120 entities were brought to administrative responsibility for a total of 13,864,998 tenge for the sale of unregistered drugs and exceeding the established maximum permissible prices for drugs," the speaker said.

Earlier, she noted that violations were also identified in 34% of schools in Nur-Sultan and the reintroduction of strict quarantine in the capital is possible due to non-compliance with sanitary rules.
