New police uniform in Kazakhstan presented

Canada's police uniform will become a model for Kazakhstani police uniform, said Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kalmukhanbet Kasymov, at the parliamentary hearings on modernization of the law enforcement system, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"The police uniform will be re-branded. We have been doing this for three years, studying the experience of other countries, most of all Canada," said the Interior Minister.
The Minister stressed that additional funds for creation of a police uniform on the example of Canada will not be needed.
Recall, November 19, a meeting was held in Akorda on modernization of the internal affairs agencies, chaired by the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Opening the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan stressed that the issues of law enforcement and the fight against crime are under his special control.
The head of state pointed to the need to implement meaningful and qualitative changes in the sphere of internal affairs in accordance with the directions of the current Address to the people of Kazakhstan.
Noting the importance of modernization, the Head of State instructed to optimize the structure and staffing of the internal affairs bodies, as well as to exclude functions unusual for them.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that the existing standards of police relations with citizens are outdated and do not take into account modern realities.
