MIA RK began checking educational institutions

An extraordinary operational meeting on ensuring students’ safety in educational institutions was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the MIA RK official website.
During the meeting, Minister Yerlan Turgumbayev instructed the heads of the territorial police departments to examine all educational institutions for video surveillance systems, means of alerting staff and visitors, alarm buttons, burglar alarms and physical security.
There will also be ongoing monitoring of the Internet space to identify and respond to the facts of propaganda of cruelty and violence, including in youth forums and publics from open sources
"Children are the most vulnerable part of the society, so their safety is always a priority. Together with local executive bodies, educational institutions and citizens, we must take all necessary measures to ensure that they can receive education in schools safely, and their parents do not worry about their safety," Turgumbayev concluded.
