In vaccination against COVID-19 patient’s informed consent is mandatory

Aizhan Esmagambetova, head of the Committee for sanitary-epidemiological control of the Health Ministry told about vaccination against coronavirus, whether it will become mandatory in Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"Vaccination against coronavirus infection is carried out according to epidemiological indications, which is reflected in the relevant government resolution that approved the national vaccination schedule. It should be noted that in any vaccination the patient’s informed consent is mandatory. You can always refuse," Aizhan Esmagambetova said.
She added that vaccination is the best way to fight infectious diseases, which include COVID-19.
Earlier it became known that Kazakhstanis will be able to sign up for vaccination against coronavirus through Egov.kz portal.
