In 2017 Kazakhstanis to have another 4 days off

Kazakhstan Ministry of Health and Social Development published a calendar of holidays for the coming year.
Four working days will be days off in 2017 in Kazakhstan, provided that there is a five-day working week, Kazpravda.kz reports.

Kazakhstan Ministry of Health and Social Development published information that identifies the holiday dates and the related days off. These include the days that mark national and state holidays.

National holiday is the Independence Day, celebrated on 16 and 17 December, and the state holiday is the New Year - January 1-2, International Women's Day - March 8, Nauryz - 21-23 March, the Day of unity of Kazakhstan people - May 1, Day of Defender of the Fatherland - 7 May, the Victory Day - May 9, Astana Day - July 6, the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 30 August, the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 1 December.

In 2017, provided that there is a five-day working week, the day off is moved:

- From January 1 to January 3,

- from 7 May to 8 May;

- From 16 December to 18 December;

- From 17 December to 19 December.


Thus, another four days are added to the list of days off.


At the same time, provided that there is a six-day working week, the day off is moved:

- From January 1 to January 3,

- From 7 May to 8 May;

- From 17 December to 18 December.

The calendar of holidays has the religious holidays that are declared public holidays - Kurban Ait (the first day of the holiday is considered a day off), which is celebrated according to the Muslim calendar and falls on September 1 in 2017, and the Orthodox Christmas, celebrated annually on 7 January.
