Fraudsters "fine" Almaty residents for absence of masks

In Almaty, fraudsters posing as employees of the sanitary and epidemiological service, “fine” facilities and citizens for violating the quarantine regime and lack of masks. This was announced by the chief sanitary doctor of the city, Zhandarbek Bekshin, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"A young man and a girl are working together in the city. They introduce themselves as employees of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, and “check” objects. If any violations are detected, they take money. In such cases, you must always require an official certificate. We must remember that there are such fraudsters," Bekshin said.
He also asked to report such cases to the department of quality control and safety of goods and services.
According to the speaker, a lot of inspections are carried out in the city, on the results of which appropriate measures are taken.
"About 2,200 fines were imposed, 2,002 cases on the mask regime alone. But we do not only fine people, businesses - 230 MCI (638,940 tenge). We also carry out explanatory work," the chief sanitary doctor of Almaty added.
