The Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) of the MIID RK commented on criticism of the first domestic low-cost airline FlyArystan, Kazpravda.kz reports.
“Recently, there has been a lot of criticism in social networks and the media that FlyArystan’s first domestic low-cost airline did not live up to the expectations of it. In this regard, the Civil Aviation Committee conducted a statistical analysis of FlyArystan’s activities,” the Committee wrote on Facebook.
Thus, since the launch of the FlyArystan low-coster, there has been a significant rise in the number of served passengers at our airports that the carrier is flying to (Taraz, Karaganda, Uralsk, Shymkent).
In May 2019, the number of served passengers at the Taraz airport increased 4 times, at the airport of Karaganda by 67%, and at the airport of Uralsk by 22% compared with May 2018.
In June, there was also a significant increase in the city of Taraz - air transport services were used 3.3 times more, in Karaganda 1.4 times more, in Uralsk 29%, in Pavlodar 40%, in Shymkent 33% more on-year.
"These figures point to a steady demand for the first domestic low-coster’s services," the department said.
