The largest mosque in the country and Central Asia is under construction in Nur-Sultan, Kazpravda.kz refers to the Instagram post of the mayor of the capital Altai Kulginov.
"The height of the main dome will be almost 90 meters, and the minarets -130 meters. The mosque's capacity will be up to 30 000 people," the mayor wrote.
According to him, the construction is carried out at the expense of sponsorship funds on behalf of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The mosque is located between Kabanbai Batyr and Mangilik Yel avenues. Engineering and communications networks are being laid, and the territory around it will be landscaped, the mayor said.
This mosque will become a point of attraction not only for residents of the country, but also for tourists, Kulginov added.
