Balaeva invited young directors to offer new film scripts to state channels and MIPD

Minister of Information and Public Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva held a meeting with young directors on development of domestic content on Kazakhstani television, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the RK MIPD.
Balaeva told the young people about the work of the ministry on development of high-quality content on Kazakhstani television, including the creation of series, documentaries, special programs on topical issues that concern the public and have a particular ideological significance.
“Our ministry, within the framework of the state assignment and the state information order, annually ensures the production of up to fifty television series, while the number of documentaries exceeds a hundred. Some of them are gaining popularity among viewers, but the quality of the majority, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. The content must be improved," the minister said.
At the same time, she noted that the ministry is announcing a competition for the best scripts for television series and documentaries, which will be filmed in 2022.
"The main topics for them are reflected in the list of thematic plans, which will be published on the ministry's website," Balaeva clarified.
The meeting with the minister was attended by 29 young directors who have experience in creating interesting domestic projects. Aida Balaeva called on young directors to offer new scripts for TV series and films to the ministry and state TV channels this year.
The participants of the event expressed their desire and readiness to propose new projects to the ministry in creating unique, interesting and high-quality content in Kazakhstani television, the press service added.
