Baibek met with residents of problem facilities in Shymkent

The first deputy chairman of Nur Otan party, Bauyrzhan Baibek, met with residents of a number of problematic objects of the city during a working trip to Shymkent, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the party’s press service.
At an enlarged meeting of the Political Council, the Nur Otan Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed to intensify the party’s work to solve specific problems of citizens in all regions of the country, openly talk about problems and seek solutions to them locally.
First of all, Bauyrzhan Baibek met with residents of the apartment building burned down in June in Vodopyanov street, in which more than 40 families lived. According to them, after the incident, local authorities promised to build a new house, but no documents were provided. Many of them previously went on a hunger strike. Now they are housed in dormitories and rented apartments.
As part of a working trip, the First Deputy Chairman of the party also visited the Azat micro district, annexed to the city in 2015. Through the media and social networks, residents have repeatedly complained about the lack of central networks of electricity, gas and water supply. Arriving at the meeting, Bauyrzhan Baibek made a remark to the district akim, appointed a couple of weeks ago, for trying to dissuade the party members from visiting this micro-district.
On the same day, during an extraordinary conference of the Nur Otan party, mayor of Shymkent Yerlan Aytakhanov was elected the new chairman of the city branch.
In addition, the first deputy chairman of Nur Otan party held an unplanned reception of citizens and took each issue on his personal control.
