Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan - Askar Mamin and of Uzbekistan- Abdulla Aripov, participated in the opening ceremony of the international road Beineu - Akzhigit - the border of Uzbekistan, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the RK Prime Minister.
Askar Mamin stressed the importance of the event for development of the transport infrastructure of Central Asia, increase of trade volumes and transit potential.
Over the recent years, he said, relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have reached a qualitatively new level and gained steady positive momentum, which is confirmed by the annual growth in mutual trade. Last year, it amounted to $ 3 billion. Since the beginning of this year, there has been a positive growth trend.
Uzbek Prime Minister A. Aripov noted strategic importance of the event for two neighboring fraternal countries.
During his working visit to Mangistau region, Askar Mamin called at a number of innovative industrial enterprises, assessed implementation of infrastructure projects and development of green economy in the region, construction of new cultural and tourist facilities, and familiarized with the development of renewable energy sources in Mangistau oblast.
He visited the construction sites of the new tourist complex and cultural center of Abish Kekilbayev that is to be completed by the end of 2020.
A modern hotel complex on the Caspian coast, which A. Mamin also examined, is designed for 800 beds with the necessary infrastructure for tourists. Commissioning is scheduled for June 2020.
