RK Prime Minister Askar Mamin reported to Nursultan Nazarbayev and deputies of Nur Otan party’s parliamentary faction on the interim results of the implementation of Nur Otan Party’s Election Program "Kazakhstan-2021: Unity. Stability. Creating" and the Nation Plan "100 concrete steps to implement Five institutional reforms," Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Askar Mamin noted that due to the implementation of Nurly Zhol program, Kazakhstan has become a transcontinental bridge between Europe and Asia, and a large-scale modernization of transport infrastructure is underway.
Modernization of all domestic refineries has been fully completed, construction of a polypropylene plant with a capacity of 500 thousand tons per year began. Preparatory work is underway to implement the project for the production of polyethylene with a capacity of 1 million 250 thousand tons.
By the end of 2018, exports volume of the manufacturing industry, compared with 2016, increased by 21.7% and amounted to $ 15.7 billion. Export of services increased by 15.8% to $ 7.3 billion. In general, since 2016, the volume of industry in the country grew by 15.7%, and manufacturing - by 16.3%. Alternative energy is actively developing; since 2016, renewable energy capacity has grown 3.7 times and by the end of this year will amount to 1041 MW at 87 facilities, and by 2024 - 3 thousand MW.
To provide broadband Internet access - 3324 rural districts (79%) with the population of 250 or more are connected. The remaining villages will be connected to the Internet during 2020.
The state fully fulfills all the social obligations. A new format of targeted social assistance is being developed. Since 2020, mandatory social health insurance has been introduced. Since 2016, 390 secondary schools, more than 400 medical facilities have been built, centers have been set up to provide assistance for heart attack and stroke.
"Particular attention was paid to providing Kazakhstanis with quality and affordable housing. Over 2016 million square meters of housing have been built in 2016-2018. It is planned to introduce 13 million square meters by the end of the year. A new housing program is being developed," A. Mamin accounted.
Kazakhstan continues to pursue a multi-vector foreign policy, strengthening strategic cooperation with its main partners - Russia, China, the USA, the European Union, the countries of Central Asia and the CIS.
The Prime Minister spoke about the efforts of the Government and the Nur Otan faction to saturate the domestic market with food of domestic production - on average, the supply of basic types of food products reached 80%, and on some items - 100%.
As part of the digitalization of economic sectors, new technologies are being introduced at the enterprises of the fuel and energy and mining and metallurgical complexes. Due to the accomplished work, in 2018 the volume of innovative products increased by 25% on-year and amounted to 1 trillion 179 billion tenge.
Over 9 months of this year growth rates made 4.3%, compared with 2.9% at the beginning of the year. The government plans to bring fixed capital investment to 30% of GDP by 2025. To date, a pool of investment projects has been formed that will attract 41 trillion tenge of investments in 2020-2024.
