Application on republican referendum submitted to RK CEC

An initiative group appealed to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, proposing to amend two laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan through a referendum, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"Representatives of the initiative group Iskaliev N.U., Abdikalikova A.K., Daribekov M.Zh. submitted to the Central Election Commission a set of documents for registering the initiative group and the issues it proposes to a referendum," the statement said.
It is noted that with the application for registration of the initiative group, the minutes of the meeting of November 10 on the formation of the initiative group consisting of 62 people on the issue of calling a republican referendum without specifying the list and data of the persons who participated in the meeting were submitted.
The minutes of the meeting of the initiative group of the republican referendum of November 10, a list of members of the initiative group indicating their data and the issues proposed for the referendum were also included:
1) "Amend the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan ", including with the introduction of an election system for single-member constituency and the same correlation with the proportional system?";
2) "Amend the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On political parties", including to decrease the number of party members during its state registration from forty to one thousand people?".
These documents will be considered by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for compliance with the requirements of the Constitutional Law "On the republican referendum" within the time period established by law.
