Anti-corruption Agency presented National anti-corruption report for 2020

The Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan has submitted the National Anti-Corruption Report for 2020, Kazpravda.kz reports.
The purpose of the document is to inform the public about the results of the anti-corruption policy of Kazakhstan in 2020.
The document presents the adopted legislative and practical measures on anti-corruption education, prevention of corruption, partnership with society, the inevitability of responsibility, as well as proposals for further improvement of anti-corruption policy, taking into account the provisions of the UN Convention against Corruption, the GRECO guidelines of the Council of Europe and the OECD recommendations.
Special attention is paid to information on prevention and suppression of corruption during the COVID-19 pandemic and in development of anti-crisis funds.
It also reflects the results of an independent assessment of the level of perception of corruption in Kazakhstan and international cooperation on anti-corruption policy, highlights the contribution of the authorized body, other state bodies, public associations and subjects of the quasi-public sector to combating corruption.
Recall, at the end of 2020 in the Transparency International corruption perception Index, Kazakhstan scored 38 points (2016 - 29, 2017 and 2018 - 31, 2019 - 34) for the first time and took 94th place among 180 countries.
