The Minister of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, met with representatives of the public on the issues of public control improvement, Kazpravda.kz refers to the MISD reporting.
During the meeting Aida Balayeva presented the main forms, tasks, principles of public control, the rights and obligations of its objects and subjects, as well as the procedure for its implementation.
The relevant bill, she noted, was published on the Ministry's website and is open for discussion for every citizen.
She separately dwelled on the accompanying bill, which includes a set of amendments aimed to create a single legitimate institution of online petitions.
Well-known public figures and experts took an active part in the discussion of the draft Law "On Public Control". The bill itself was developed by the ministry jointly with both Kazakhstan and international experts. The experience of about 30 countries in Asia, Europe, America was studied.
The structured law is expected to facilitate public involvement in the processes of political and socioeconomic modernization of the country, ensure maximum openness of state bodies and the quasi-public sector for civic participation, and also increase mutual trust level between the state and society.
The Minister thanked all the meeting participants for active involvement and responsible, constructive approach in the implementation of the issue, which is of particular importance for the development of civil society.
