In the national census of 2021, 87 questions, will be asked, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As noted, the list of questions in the questionnaires has been significantly expanded: 67 questions and 20 clarifying sub-questions.
"The basis for the expansion was recommendations of European statisticians on the 2020 round of population and housing census and the methodological materials of the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee," the bureau explained.
Unlike the 2009 national census, where 73 questions were asked, in the 2021 census more questions are included on migration, employment, marital status, fertility and language proficiency. Also included are new questions recommended by the United Nations Washington Group on Disability Statistics, which aim to foster international collaboration in health statistics while also focusing on criteria for disability.
The 2021 national census will run from September 1 to October 30.
