The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was vaccinated against coronavirus. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Uali, reports.

"Today, the Head of State received the Sputnik-V vaccine produced by the Karaganda pharmaceutical plant. After vaccination, he feels good. There are no side effects. The President is convinced that only vaccination of Kazakhstanis and formation of collective immunity will help defeat the coronavirus, remove all restrictions, and ensure normal life of citizens and economic activity. The Head of State again calls on all citizens to take the vaccine at the earliest opportunity. This is the only way to protect yourself and your loved ones," Berik Uali wrote on Facebook.

He also noted that earlier the President instructed the Government and local executive bodies to ensure the supply of vaccines from abroad and establish domestic production, as well as organize the vaccination process.
