Tokayev: "It is necessary that all medical services are at the level of pre-COVID time"
The head of state visited the oncological clinic in Kokshetau. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was familiarized with the current situation on COVID-19 and the state of the health service of the Akmola region, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The President was informed that in the region, treatment of patients with coronavirus infection is carried out on the basis of 22 infectious diseases hospitals, a bed fund for 2,113 beds has been deployed, a reserve for 5,000 beds has been created. At the instruction of the Head of State, a stock of medicines was provided.
Then Kassym-Jomart Tokayev examined an oncological clinic specializing in providing consultative and diagnostic assistance to patients with suspected malignant neoplasms, as well as to those already registered with dispensaries.
The President noted that the medical infrastructure is developing at a good pace in the region, new facilities are being built. According to him, it is necessary that all medical services, including the treatment of planned patients, patients with cardiovascular and oncological diseases, are provided at the level of pre-COVID time.
The head of state expressed gratitude to the employees of the health care system for their work.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the doctors once again, because they work without vacations, practically without days off. It is very difficult for them, but we will support them,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Earlier it was reported that the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived on a working trip to Kokshetau, Akmola region.
