Tokayev and Maurer held expanded talks

Presidents of Kazakhstan and Switzerland- Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Uli Maurer, held expanded talks, Kazpravda.kz cites the Akorda press service reporting.
During the talks, Tokayev noted the importance of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Switzerland.
“I express confidence that your visit will be a significant milestone in the development of cooperation between our countries. This cooperation is developing in ascending line, and we will continue to make every effort to maintain the dynamics of mutually beneficial contacts both in the political and economic sphere,” - Tokayev said.
He emphasized the importance of the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s contribution to the strengthening of Kazakh-Swiss relations and assured that the tradition of partnership laid by him will continue.
Ueli Maurer pointed out the key role of Kazakhstan in the development of economic and political ties in the region, its growing role in the world, in the international community.
During the negotiations, issues of enhancing trade-economic and investment cooperation, implementation of joint projects in various fields, interaction in the financial services sector were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Tokayev emphasized that the visit of Ueli Maurer is of great importance for further development of partnerships and the expansion of opportunities for interaction between the two countries.
