During the working meeting on the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that people should be persuaded, not coerced, to be vaccinated against Covid-19, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
According to the President, a differentiated approach should be applied when working with people who do not want to be vaccinated. This group is far from homogeneous.
"The reasons for refusing vaccination vary. Many of such people are hesitant, and it is necessary to convince them by all means, including through social media. In some developed Western countries, they are moving from methods of persuasion to measures of coercion. We will not agree to this, with the exception of special cases related to the activities of large corporate teams. We cannot, due to a handful of "stubborn" anti-vaccine people, endanger the health of our citizens, who sustain the well-being of their families with their work, "Tokayev said.
