Kazakhstan will not sell land to foreigners. This was stated by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at an extended meeting of the Government, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"The moratorium on certain provisions of the Land Code will end in 2021. In this regard, we need to make a final decision on this issue. We have identified the main problem. Land is not for sale to foreigners. We will not return to this issue," the Head of State twitted.
"We adopted a law on space monitoring to identify undeveloped and inefficiently developed lands. There are 12.8 million hectares of land identified during the inventory; 7 million hectares were returned to the state. These lands need to be developed," continued the Head of State.
“Already now we should prepare for timely harvesting in the conditions of the possible preservation of certain restrictions,” the President concluded.
