Kazakh President addressed German company leaders
During the official visit to Berlin, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke about the economic and investment potential of Kazakhstan at a business dinner for representatives of leading German companies, cites the Akorda press service reporting.

Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan intends to give a new impetus to cooperation with Germany, which is our country's key trade and economic partner in the European Union.

It was noted in the speech that Kazakhstan seeks to raise its standards and bring legislative standards to the level of OECD countries, hoping in the future to become a full member of this organization.

The President focused on the advantageous geographical position of Kazakhstan and the foreign economic policy, which opens up great opportunities for foreign investors.

Such leading German concerns as Volkswagen, Mann, Siemens, Knauf, Bayer, METRO are already actively working in Kazakhstan. There are other examples of successful economic cooperation. In particular, the Heidelberg Cement and Linde Group corporations invested significant amounts in the country's economy.

Tokayev invited German businessmen to join in the implementation of projects in agriculture, HT and digitalization, take part in the work of the Astana International Financial Center.

Representatives of German business spoke about their experience in Kazakhstan market, shared their plans and expressed wishes.

At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reemphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to cooperate in the implementation of investment projects with participation of German business.

“We are interested in helping you, positively resolving all issues. The projects discussed here in your presentations and reports will be in the focus of our Government,” the President said.
