President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Ulytau should become a center of ethnographic tourism at the international level, Kazpravda.kz cites the Akorda Twitter as saying.
“Ulytau should become a center of ethnographic tourism at the international level. All work should begin as part of the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the Golden Horde,” the President said during the International Tourism Forum in Ulytau.
"We must definitely honor the founder of the Golden Horde, Jochi Khan. We need to draw the attention of the whole world to the historical personality of Jochi Khan and make his mausoleum the object of cultural tourism," the President of Kazakhstan added, emphasizing that few of our compatriots and foreign citizens know that the mausoleum of the oldest son of Genghis Khan is in Kazakhstan.
