PresidentPresident's Address

Enough to sit in meetings, we need to work - Nazarbayev
Nursultan Nazarbayev was outraged by frequent meetings and conferences in the Government and state bodies, correspondent reports from Akorda, where President is making the state-of-the-nation address.

"The number of long meetings, sessions in the Government and state agencies has grown several times of late. They sit 100 days a year at meetings. It leaves no time for work! I decreed to go to the meeting in Government on Tuesday, not on other days! Indeed, meeting in the morning, meeting before noon, meeting in the afternoon! I allow meetings there on Monday only. Wednesday and Thursday are days of reports in Parliament. Let's agree on this sсhedule," President said.

Ordinary civil servants should work according to the law seven hours a day, he added.

"Let them live a normal life, deal with personal problems. Why should they sit at work until one o'clock in the morning? There are days when the Government holds seven meetings a day with akims and their deputies!” Bakytzhan, (Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev) when do you yourself work? Nothing is controlled in the country. You only sit in meetings! "- Nazarbayev resented.
