Speaking at an expanded meeting of the Government, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out the poor conditions in preschool institutions, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"About 900 thousand children are brought up in 11 thousand preschool institutions. However, 36% of them - without sewage, 29% - without hot water and 11% - without warm toilets. In fact, a significant part of our children are in survival mode in the first six years of their life," - said the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Head of State also noted that historical events and facts should be brought to the information of students without distortion.
"Therefore, I instruct to develop and introduce unified school textbooks on the History of Kazakhstan and World History," the President instructed.
